My desk looks through the conservatory to the back garden but it’s never the same as actually being able to be in the garden. Whenever the sun shines it always draws me into the garden to work on my writing. I’ll either sit at the table - if I need to use the laptop - or sprawl on a makeshift sunbed, comprising of layers of cushions, faux-fur throws, and those long, plump cushions used for sun loungers. It’s all very Princess and the Pea but even with all of those layers, it’s still lumpy! The best thing about the summer and being able to work outside is that I have a wonderful dog who enjoys keeping me company in the garden. He’s a Siberian husky but he loves to sunbathe, it is funny to see such a hairy creature lying on his back, legs in the air, contentedly basking in the sun! The garden pictures were taken recently and, of course, my dog just had to be in them.
